Dear Student,
青楼传媒 has been awarded about $11.38 million through the Higher Education
Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III), which is authorized by the passed in March 2021. It is required that approximately $5.7 million of these funds
be distributed to students.
The guidelines require that funds be distributed to students with exceptional financial
need. As a student enrolled as of September 7, 2021, you automatically qualify for an emergency
grant based on the results of your application for financial aid. You will receive
an automatic distribution of $1,000.
These grants will be disbursed during the next few weeks and will not affect student
financial aid awards. You do not need to apply for these funds.
You have two options for receiving the emergency grant funds:
- Automatically Apply Funds to Tuition Balance: If you would like the emergency grant to be automatically applied to your tuition
balance, please complete the . If we do not receive the completed form by Monday, September 27, 2021, we will issue
the funds to you directly.
- Receive Funds Directly Via Check or Direct Deposit: If you would like the funds to be issued to you directly, no further action is required
of you at this time. However, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to
sign up for direct deposit to ensure that the funds are received quickly and efficiently.
Those who have signed up for direct deposit will receive their grants faster than
those who receive checks in the mail.
If you do not have an electronic refund account created already, please use the following
path within the Self-Service menu on the portal:
- Students, Financial Information, E-Check Banking Information.
- Verify the routing and account numbers are correct.
- If old banking information is present, be sure to delete the outdated information
entirely before entering new information.
For those opting to receive a check, please make sure your mailing address in Self-Service
on the portal is up to date. If you opt for a paper check and do not receive it by November
1, 2021, please contact the Bursar's Office to have your check reissued. Mailed checks that are not cashed within 60 days will be canceled.
