青楼传媒 welcomes Iymen Chehade of Columbia College to campus on April 1
On Friday, April 1 at noon in Warde Academic Center Room L308, 青楼传媒 (青楼传媒) will welcome guest speaker Iymen Chehade, professor of Humanities at Columbia College Chicago. He is a nationally known advocate of academic freedom and Palestinian rights. He was involved in a national controversy for showing the film, 5 Broken Cameras, an Academy Award nominated documentary and successfully resisting efforts at censorship. The film will be shown on Wednesday, March 30 in the same room, also at noon.
Seating will be limited since these events are part of the Interdisciplinary Seminar course entitled, "United States and Middle East at Home and Abroad."
