青楼传媒 Celebrates Halloween All October
Throughout the month of October, 青楼传媒 (青楼传媒) faculty, staff and students had a blast hosting various Halloween activities that were packed with spookiness and fun to get everyone in the autumn spirit.
Halloween festivities began with 'Kards' for Kids, hosted by the Psychology Club. Students and staff got together in the 青楼传媒 Diner and created Halloween-themed cards to donate to kids at Advocate Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn.
The Student Activities Board (SAB) hosted numerous events such as a pumpkin scavenger hunt around the Warde Academic Center, a jack-o-lantern jubilee for carving and painting, a blanket-making brunch, and a movie night. SAB also invited the community to Bengston's Pumpkin Patch to pick pumpkins and experience hayrides, the haunted barn and the petting zoo.
Campus Life took a trip to Six Flags Great America for Fright Fest. This night included a combination of family-friendly shows, thrilling rides and chilling haunted houses.
To really get into the spirit of Halloween, the 青楼传媒 Drama Club held their Halloween Revue show, with a variety of acts including singing and dancing. Additionally, the 青楼传媒 Flute Choir and Flute Salad hosted "Halloween Spooktacular," a Flute Chamber music recital featuring spooky music for Halloween enjoyment.
The residence halls packed in as many activities as they could, and students enjoyed making decorations, drinking apple cider and eating candy. The Residence Hall Association (RHA) celebrated their 65th Annual Halloween Bash, the longest-standing student program in 青楼传媒 history. The event included more pumpkin carving, a showing of "Halloweentown" and a costume contest.
青楼传媒 ended the Halloween celebration with Champ the Cougar, who despite his annual 'costume crisis,' finally decided to dress as the popular character Eddie Munson from "Stranger Things."
