About the Program

The ESL and Bilingual Education endorsement programs consist of six courses, each focusing on essential areas such as linguistics, teaching methods, and bilingual student assessment. The program includes courses like EDU 363 on theoretical foundations, EDU 364 on ESL teaching methods, and EDU 380 on bilingual education methods. Completion of the ESL endorsement requires no additional testing, but bilingual endorsement requires proficiency in a target language.

The program integrates theory with practice through engaging coursework and real-world applications. Focus areas such as cross-cultural studies, linguistics, and bilingual student assessment prepare you to implement effective teaching strategies in diverse, multilingual environments.
